1  * Adonai says to adoni [my Lord], † “Sit at my right hand, ‡
until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet.” § *
2  † Adonai will send out ‡ the rod of your strength out of Zion [Mountain ridge, Marking].
Rule among your enemies.
3 Your people offer themselves willingly in the day of your power, in holy array.
Out of the womb of the morning, you have the dew of your youth.
4  § Adonai has sworn, and will not change his mind:
“You are a priest forever in the order of Malki-Tzedek [My king Righteousness].” *
5  † The Lord is at your right hand.
He will crush kings in the day of his wrath.
6 He will judge among the nations.
He will heap up dead bodies.
He will crush the ruler of the whole earth.
7  ‡ He will drink of the brook on the way;
therefore he will lift up his head.

The pledges which Tamar [Palm tree] took from Judah [Praised] (Gen 38:18) was a leading from the Holy Spirit. Judah’s seal is interpreted as signifying the Kingdom of God, the bracelet as the Sanhedrin (the Jewish Court of Law), and the staff representing the King Messiah. (Ps 110:2 and Is 11 in Midrash Genesis 85). (Mal 3:3; Luke 3:16) ‡ 110:2 MPr: The staff of Aaron is said to have been in the hands of every king until the Temple was destroyed. Since then, it was hid and will be restored to King Messiah. (Midrash Numbers 18). The self-same staff was used by Jacob with which he crossed Jordan (Gen 32:22), the staff of Judah (Gen 38:18), and Moses’ staff of miracles (Ex 4:17), and Aaron’s budding staff (Num 17:8), and the young man David had this self-same staff in his hand when he slew Goliath [Exposer, Uncovered] (1 Sam 17:40).
